Psalms 1: 1-6 (Jennifer's Response)


1 Blessed is the one (Jennifer)
who does not walk in step with the wicked 
or stand in the way that sinners take 
   or sit in the company of mockers, 
(Lord I trust you and stand up and walk away from the wicked that has positioned itself in my life. I can only hear your voice LORD)

2 but whose delight is in the law of the LORD,
(Lord I stand up right with you making the choices with in your will and I am SO excited about being there)

   and who meditates on his law day and night. 
(will read your Word to my children in the morning and at night)

3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, 

   which yields its fruit in season 
and whose leaf does not wither— 
   whatever they do prospers.
(That is ME I see it)
 4 Not so the wicked! 
   They are like chaff 
   that the wind blows away. 
(Thank you for blowing away the lies in my life)

5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, 

   nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
(Thank you for sanctifiing me Lord, even though it was hard, I stand with anticipating in the assembly of the righteous.) 
 6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, 
   but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
(I feel your presence watching over me and I tuck myself in right under your wing today)

LENT DAY: 180 Degrees

Lent is the season of Repentance a change of thought to correct a wrong, gain forgiveness from a person who is wronged, confession to God, ceasing sin against God, and resolving to live according to His will. It involved admitting and promising not to repeat the action, turning 180 degrees and walking in the opposite direction in order to reverse the harmful effects of the wrong. "Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth" (2 Timothy 2:25) Lent is also the season of Discipline , systematic instruction given to to train students to follow a particular code of conduct. "Discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness" (1Tm 4:7-8) . Stepping into the season of Lent we have confession, forgiveness and change on our mind. We are preparing our body, mind and spirit for the celebration of Easter. Before we get let go in the freedom of the ascension, we must get close to the Son of Go...
