Journey to Eternal Life

Thank you lord that you are so patient with me. Lord you have been tapping me on the shoulder in so many ways. Thank you for the way you have spoken to me through Bonnie’s death. The picture you gave me.

Picture the journey that each person makes as we are created in our mother ‘s wombs, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139). Then we are birthed into life  learning how to step into the purpose God has for our lives, through a cycle of obedience, mistakes, consequences and faith.

Then God tells the story of our bodies returning to dust (Genesis 3:17-19). We let go of this world and are birthed from life into eternal life. When we are heaven ready, we step into a realm of Glory our earthly bodies could never handle.

Exodus 33:21-23
God said, “Look, here is a place right beside me. Put yourself on this rock. When my Glory passes by, I’ll put you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with my hand until I’ve passed by. Then I’ll take my hand away and you’ll see my back. But you won’t see my face.”

Our spirit rises up, up and up to join the Lord. We get to look right into the eyes of glory. He does not have to cover us when he walks by us, no more clefts. We join the community of saints and live in perfect radiance. The journey to this place is not an easy one.

Imagine the tiny unborn child making her way through the birth canal. Leaving a warm, safe space where all her needs are met. Traveling through a painful passage way to life. First breath, shocked with cold and everything unfamiliar. This little one is overwhelmed but within seconds placed on something familiar, placed on the mother’s heart, swaddled in her love and protection. Life is a new place.

Death is SO similarly difficult. The period we are waiting to step over to eternal life is filled with the chill of uncertainty, fear and doubt, but we are moments away from stepping into our heavenly bodies. The creator of the universe is waiting in that moment to take us into his arms, look into our eyes and swaddle us into his arms. From fear to  familiarity of His heart. Eternal Life is a new place.

Stepping Out of Fear

Last night the women of Celebration church BROUGHT it. God is so amazing how he shows up. I have AGAIN been bogged down in fear. Frozen in mire, unable to step out of my situation and let Jesus step in. FEAR of the things I do not have control of...marriage, finances, children. Prisicilla's words Sunday morning lifted me up. God has gone before and set the velocity of my life. Life is coming my way and I am afraid, relationships, mistakes, illness, being alone, I am treading water and so tired, but the truth is God is not going to give me more than I can handle. I know the truth an it has and will continue to set me free.  I am filled with the spirit, the very authority that Jesus has handed me through the Holy Spirit, but I am too weary, too weary to command the enemy to back off. What is wrong with me...this does not feel like me. Sunday morning the LOVER of my soul wooed me with words of truth/encouragement. Listening to Priscilla's annointed message...are you the one in...

New Leaf

Been going through so much since my last post. Why is it you see where you are supposed to go but it is so hard to get there. The obstacles have been very heavy. Laying them down daily, but as I to surrender the deep wounds in my heart it just does not stop. I am in agreement. Take these things Lord but as they begin to surface it is very very hard, a festering mess of healing. This is what healing looks like. Well my usual response is, no way. I thought I wanted to go there but maybe next week. Very similar to other good things I want to do for myself. I want to let go of caffine, sugar and alcohol for 30 days but as soon as I get started the fear of letting go of the crutch sinks in. How will I get by without my daily cup of joe or that glass of wine in the evening and the countless moments I have with sugar and salt during the day. So today I surrender all of that and pray that you cleanse me Lord and I am ready for anything.
